EIT’s new ‘Culture and Creativity’ Knowledge and Innovation Community starts its activities
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) announced on Wednesday 30 November that the EIT’s ninth ‘Culture and Creativity’ Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) is ready to host the first activities.
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) announced on Wednesday 30 November that the EIT’s ninth ‘Culture and Creativity’ Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) is ready to host the first activities. Set up to strengthen the cultural and creative industries in Europe, this KIC held its first meeting on 18 and 19 November at the Cologne Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The meetings brought together more than 150 participants from nearly 65 founding and partner organisations.
On this occasion, the Mayor of Cologne, Henriette Reker, and Dr Manfred Janssen, Director of the Cologne Business Promotion Agency, confirmed that Cologne would host the future headquarters of the Community. Six Co-Location Centres will also host activities in Europe.
